TGIF!!!!
I’m blogging at the CHICAS site today.
Bring the velvet ropes. ![]()

I knew the girls didn’t want to go. It wasn’t hard to tell. They had that downcast, sort of depressed feeling about them, and I certainly sympathized.
But sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do, and make the best of it.
“C’mon, girls, it won’t be so bad.” I’d been coaxing them to cooperate ever since the alarm went off, and it just wasn’t working. “What if I promise you this coming 3-day holiday weekend without limits, without restraints?”
That seemed to help a bit. They allowed me to secure them inside the bra and proceed with my dressing.
For behold—time for the yearly mammogram had cometh.
“We can do this, girls. Yes we can! Be rolled–er, bold! Be daring!”
They didn’t seem convinced. No sirree, not one tit–er, bit. I played my last card, hoping it would ease their apprehension.
“Think of it this way, girls. This’ll be the most action we’ve seen in ages!”
That did the trick. Not only did the girls perk right up, but they forged the path into the clinic, ahead of me by several inches.
As a bonus, we got a little stick-on of gold studs right before the procedure, something to mark a small mole that would show up on the film.
The girls were pleased. We may keep it.
So ladies, remember to do those self-exams and keep that important appointment. Tend to those ta-tas.
After all, it’s for the breast—er, best. ![]()
I often balk at doing memes. I’m simply NOT the most interesting person on the planet, lol! But this one was rather interesting, and Jordan was nice about it.

These exquisitely beautiful creatures are already heading south for the winter.
The Monarch migration seems to begin earlier and earlier every year to me—but then, that may be because I like winter less and less, lol.
I am fortunate, at least, that my little Secret Garden seems to lie directly in their path, and I get to see quite a few of them on their way. And it does my heart good to hear that a large percentage of them not only make it to Mexico, but back again next year.
If ever there was a reason to believe in magical things on fairy wings, they would be it.
I’m heading south to the CHICAS site today. Please join us! ![]()
Mondays are not my thing.
Yes, I know it’s a mind-set. But my brain rebels against Mondays. It’s as if it’s had a little taste of freedom for two days, and suddenly it’s back to Shawshank, and doing things I HAVE to do, rather than spending a nice, rainy day as it was meant to be spent. Curling up for cat naps with the kittles. Enjoying a good book. Writing a good book.
But I did get quite a bit of writing done this weekend, so hey—even on the prison-release program it can be done! ![]()
