Raine's Secret Garden

Coming and Going

I had a blog without issues for quite a while.
Really I did. :yesyesyes:

And then it was spammed. :(
Then it had some kind of security flaw. :nonono:
Then the piccies went away. :(
Then I drove my webmistress insane. :(
Then the piccies came back. :)
Then the smilies went away. :(
Then they came back. :)
Now the piccies have gone away again. :(
I’m considering following their example. :ohno:

But for today, at least, I’m blogging at the CHICAS site. Please join us!

Behind the Book

Vanessa Jaye is mourning the loss of an old, beloved writing buddy.
If you have a moment, please drop by and pay your respects.

Andromeda

I spent a couple of hours checking out “The Andromeda Strain” on A&E television last night.
Not bad for a television production at all. And I do like Benjamin Bratt (nothing to do with his looks, of course… :D ).

But I hate, hate, HATE two-part series. If it’s good, I don’t like being kept waiting at all. And if the second part isn’t worth the wait, I’ll curse your productions for generations to come.

On a more pleasant note, lol…
Ms. Amie Stuart’s new book, NAILED, is being released today, YAYYY!!!
Great characterization, hero and heroine on the run, and hawt sex.
Not to mention a guest appearance by Cousin Clyde, feline interloper extraordinaire.
Check it out!

CONFUSED…

I’m a little confused as to how we’re all supposed go to our jobs to pay for the obscenely high gas prices—once we can’t afford the gas to get to our jobs…

I’m also clueless at the CHICAS site today.

Pardon

I’ve been a sucky blogger.
Apologies to the multitudes who vist this site, lol, but things have been very hectic.
The dear one is just now out of ICU, but still lots of complications. Complete recovery isn’t really expected—but then, this is a very remarkable person.
And gawd, the drama with the family members–the drama! Amazing how it seeps out of the woodwork at the worst of times.

Since I’ve been so out of it, I’ll borrow other people’s news, lol.

Amie Stuart is a proud new mommy.

Writing buddy and world traveler Suzanne Perazzini is sharing photos and stories of her trip to Egypt.

And Nathan Bransford is risking his sanity to sponsor another contest—this one for dialogue. Some good reading there.
