I know about the incident.  And I certainly don&#039;t mean any of this as any defense for what Kennedy did that night, or at any other time in his life, or much of the behavior of his brothers in their personal lives--which I believe I mentioned.
I&#039;m not here to judge.  I was simply casting a sentimental eye back on the idealistic, hopeful mindset of the country those many years ago.  That was the point of the post.</description>

		<description>Sorry, Raine, but I have no sympathy for that bloated piece of human debris. I will never forget Chappaquiddick or the hours Teddy left Mary Jo Kopechne on the bottom of that channel, where investigators say she lived for two hours. If Mary Jo had been my daughter, Teddy would have been in hell a long time before this. When he dies, it will be like the scenes in &#039;Ghost&#039; where the black demons rip the souls  of bad guys down into hell.</description>
