Lord, I have been DANGEROUS this week.

I’ve been doodling with a new wip, and things have been crazy. I really like this story, but it’s coming in bursts of inspiration (meaning bits and pieces).
For me, that means being totally distracted.
I’ve actually walked into a wall. Bumped the knee a few times. Torn strips off important documents at work because I just HAD to write something down. Dashed out of the shower, still soaped up. Only half listened to people’s conversations, and held very few of my own.

And trying to sleep has been RIDICULOUS. Yeah, I know, keep a pad by the bed, etc. But the thoughts, ideas, and snippets of dialogue come most clearly just as I’m about to drift off—so I still have to wake up, move around, disturb the sleep cycle. :-/

All I can say is that I hope this damn book will be worth it. ;-)

Thanks to a heads-up by the ladies of Dear Author, I found out that TOR is (again) offering free downloads, this time of two of their e-books.

Will Shetterly and Emma Bull, husband and wife, have both been nominated for this year’s World Fantasy Awards, and two of their earlier books are being offered. “War for the Oaks” and “Dogland” may be downloaded from here by simply registering with your e-mail addie, a username, and password.

I haven’t read it yet, but Emma’s book is reputed to be one of the best urban fantasies evah. And in this economy, what’s better than free? ;-)

I DIDN’T KNOW!!

I just found out that one of my favorite actors, Benicio del Toro (“The Usual Suspects”, “Things We Lost In The Fire”) is currently wrapping up his starring role as…

“THE WOLF MAN”.

YAAYYY!!!
He’s a phenomenally intense, appealing actor, with a wonderfully gruff voice, and I’d wager he probably didn’t need a lot of makeup, lol.
I don’t know if the film will be any good—but I’ll bet HE will, and I definitely plan to see it. :-D
Scheduled release is in April 2009.

What happens when vampires finally come out of the coffin and attempt to claim a place in ‘normal’ society?
Why, bigotry, sex, murder, blood, and storylines and characters that’ll leave you laughing out loud.
