I get it.
At least, I think I do.
If you’re writing something with action or suspense, or writing with the notion of making the story ‘High Concept’, part of the idea is to put your hero/heroine in trouble. And then more trouble, and more, so that it gets progressively worse, until it seems like there’s no way they can come out of it in one piece, right?
Okay. That’s not so hard. Really it isn’t.
The hard part is getting them OUT of that trouble in a way that’s satisfying without seeming extremely LAME after all you’ve built UP to.
Uh-huh.
No problem.
