    One most certainly could, Bernita.
    Thus all the cheers and tears and celebration when he was elected. The sound of validation. The sound of progress. HOPE.

    But the discord still remains. One only has to listen to certain extremists to hear it publicly, to certain hate-mongering media hosts, to the occasionaly slips of the tongue people in office make.

    And I wonder how much longer it might’ve taken if Dr. King had not been killed.
