Yes, this is a rather dim picture of part of my back yard.
Yes, that is part of my little red garage, with a sexy swirl of snow dipping off the roof.
Yes, that is a combination of shoveled and drifted snow nearly as tall as the roof of the garage.
Did I mention we’re due to get 10 more inches in the next 24 hours? {sob}.

Again, let me say I hope everyone’s New Year is off to a bang-up start.
I’m striving to remain hopeful this year. And we all know it ain’t always easy. I don’t do resolutions. Life is full of stress as it is, and failing inevitably means kicking myself about it, which sort of defeats the purpose, doesn’t it? But I do believe in going after what you want. And that means knowing what you want, and holding on for as long as your fingernails hold out. And then you use your teeth.
I have a feeling about this year. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because the last two have been fairly brutal, so Hope, that demonic little slacker of Pandora’s box is flexing her wings.
But there’s a little voice inside saying something very good is going to happen this year. In a way, I’m almost afraid to listen.
You just never know what they might be lurking out there and whispering as you dream.
Rather than posting them daily, here’s a list of the last of the Twelfth Night stories. After the last is posted, all of these shorts will be consolidated into a free e-book for download (details to come).
For now, all of them will be posted at Jackie Barbosa’s site.
