The lovely young lady above seems to have taken up residence in my back yard.
Not that I mind, lol. No noise from this neighbor. She minds her business. And she really is a beautiful creature.
I worried a little at first. She didn’t appear to have a fawn this year, and I thought she should be hanging with her herd. But she seems content to spend a lot of time here, and occasionally welcomes visiting does. They lounge, chat, and share a leaf or two.
For all I know, she may be pondering the mysteries of the universe, and it’s fine with me.
Now, if I could just get her to stop eating the birdseed…

Beautiful pictures! Just remember what happened to the guy in Amie’s ‘When Animals Go Wild’ video at the Chica’s. :)
I know, lol! We just happened to post on the same day!
Animal lover or not, I learned long ago to respect their space. These are pretty docile, and used to seeing me regularly…but frankly, I wouldn’t want them to become accustomed to trusting people too much.
Cool. I’m not the only person with deer in my yard.
What a cutie. Hope she sticks around.

Then you’re a lucky woman, Tyhitia.
(aren’t they gorgeous?).

Hi, Mechele!

Oh, it’s been TOO long! Must come visit you.
I think she’s pretty comfortable in the vicinity, & will probably stick around at least over winter—on the off chance some human may leave dried corn & apples lying about in a space cleared of snow…
