Yes. With the year winding down, I kinda feel like this should be my reaction, lol. It’s tiresome to keep saying it’s been a rough ride. Everybody has them. There are times when you’re convinced you won’t make it to the weekend, let alone the end of another year.

I also really, really hate that old “it could always be worse” approach. I remember cringing whenever the older folks in my family would say it. Well yeah, of course it could be (and if you dwell on it enough, it will be). But it’s SUCH a twisted way of looking at things. Seems to me it inspires you to anticipate exactly that, doesn’t it?

But once in a while, you peek from under your covers and there’s a little glimmer of light. Just enough to convince you to get out of bed, plant your feet on that cold, hard floor, and keep at it.
And if it comes near the end of that rough year, it’s all the sweeter.

Trust me.
You just never know.
