Feeling Human Again

Have been seriously under the weather this week. Some bug made the rounds of the office. I was third on its hit list, and two more have fallen since then. I refuse to name it “flu”, but it included a nasty few days of fever—so everyone, please keep your resistance up!

I’m blogging at the CHICAS site today. Please join us.

Sometimes I feel like wearing a surgical mask when I go out. Those ‘Bugs’ have gotten a lot more deadly over the last few decades. I remember the time when you could get a cold on a Monday and be over it in a few days. Now… catch a cold and you’re lucky if you shake it in three weeks. Stay well, Raine. Remember, nothing keeps co-workers at a distance better than a string of garlic around your neck. :)

I’m often surprised when I catch ANYTHING, Bernard. Caught so many bugs when I was growing up, seems like I’d be immune, lol.
But I suppose they’ve grown & adapted too, even to antibiotics. And you’re right. It is HARD to shake things these days!

And I love the thought of wearing garlic to work, lol. There are one or two I wouldn’t mind keeping at bay…

Hey, hon, hope you’re feeling a bit better by the time you read this post. Worse than the office, is public transit. These days you feel like you should have a mask and wear gloves for the entire ride. One person sneezes and you can see every throwing them dirty looks and inching away. lol. ((hugs))

Fever’s better, thanks, Jaq, & that was the worst of it. Hate not even being able to THINK straight.

I believe it!! It’s awful to think that way. And even more awful to think…well, it might be true. Many people don’t take very good care of themselves–and worry about losing their jobs if they do, since employers can be vicious about not allowing proper sick leave.
